Edmodo in the Classroom

Today we are going to look at how to setup your Edmodo account, how to manage your classes, and ways to use Edmodo in the classroom.

 

How can Edmodo be used in my classroom?

Edmodo can be used in a variety of ways in the classroom. Here are just a few ideas.

 

Literature Circles

Divide your class into small groups on Edmodo and post discussion questions specific to the small groups literature circle.

Online Portfolio

Have students upload assignments (digital files or pictures) to create an online source of all student work.

Class Start Page

Use Edmodo as a starting point for class when utilizing the computer lab.

Question & Answer Sessions

Students can post questions to the group or teacher about assignments or various topics.

Class Calendar and Announcement Board

Use the Calendar and Announcements to keep students & parents informed about what is happening in the classroom.

Posts Webquests and Online Resources

Create a folder shared with your students containing online resources for various topics

Where can I Learn to Use Edmodo?

 

 

The Help Center can be found when clicking the "Account" button on the top right (or click the photo above). This is an excellent place to find information on a variety of topics. Also, asking questions to the other teachers in the Edmodo community is a good way to learn. The video below also gives a brief over view of getting started on Edmodo.
